Hinamatsuri
Spring 2024
On March 8th, 2024 we hosted our Hinamatsuri event with a total of 52 attendees.
We had the pleasure of celebrating Hinamatsuri with special guests, students from Yasuda Women's University who will be studying at UH Manoa through HELP for four months.
We introduced Hinamatsuri through a Kahoot quiz game followed by making flowers with colored tissue paper. After completing the flowers, we had our main event which was a competition where each group would dress their designated emperor/empress like a dairi-bana.
Once the activities were completed we all socialized while enjoying traditional Hinamatsuri food: Chirashizushi and Strawberry daifuku. It was a great time and we thank everyone for joining and participating in our event. We look forward to seeing more of you at future JCC events.
