First Social Meeting
Spring 2024
On February 9th, 2024 we hosted the first event of the Spring 2024 semester! With a total of 74 attendees, this was one of our most successful turnouts in recent years!
To start off the event, we had a special guest, CJS program coordinator and former JCC President, Joan Pan introduced a future seminar held by Urasenke Grand Master (one of the three Japanese Tea Schools), Dr. Sen, as well as the Ehime Summer Internship program which has now started accepted applications.
Following her introductions, we introduced our club and future plans for this semester. The attendees then broke out into groups to participate in a Kahoot activity which quizzed participants on Japanese, American, and Hawaiian culture. The event ended in a social gathering with pizza, mochi, and tofu salad.
Unfortunately we forgot to take our biannual group photo with all 74 of you, but we had a great time spending our Friday evening with you all. Thank you all so much for making Japanese Culture Club's first event with me as acting President a huge success!
